Subaru’s 2016 Forester, Outback and Crosstrek are hot commodities in the U.S. What new record did the brand set in November?

Subaru of America (SOA) is setting the automotive world on fire and their 3 all-wheel-drive crossovers are leading the way. Subaru’s 2016 Forester, Outback and Crosstrek helped Subaru of America break their all-time sales record in November with one month still remaining. The brand is on fire in the U.S. and it marks Subaru’s eighth year of sales growth and their seventh successive sales record. How is Subaru leading the auto industry?

Subaru’s hot top three sellers are their Forester, Outback and Crosstrek all-wheel-drive vehicles. The 3 crossovers combined for over 350,000 units per year in sales so far this year and there’s no sign of the popular multi-purpose vehicles slowing down. Subaru is leading the industry by doing what they do best. They’ve created a niche brand of all-wheel-drive crossovers and it’s driving the brands success.

Tom Doll, COO of Subaru of America, has been the chief architect of transforming Subaru in the U.S. into a big success, and says Subaru has a strategic plan and they do it by sticking to Subaru’s core values of all-wheel-drive, the boxer engine and building safe vehicles. The brand is committed to these things above all else.

Subaru has done a good job of marketing to their existing customer base and in the past two years have been picking up new buyers to the brand at a 60 percent clip. How are they doing it? By building vehicles that are appealing to a younger generation who lead active lifestyles and use the recreation-purposed Forester, Outback and Crosstrek for daily commuting and to get away from civilization on the weekends.

The Subaru brand is hot in the U.S. and their Forester, Outback and Crosstrek are on fire with consumers who like the crossovers for their value, safety features and all-wheel-drive capability. The Subaru brand is not slowing down anytime soon. They will introduce the new 2017 Impreza sedan and 5-Door hatch next year and will begin building a new 3-Row crossover in 2018.
