2015 Subaru Forester models get eight new standard features

Subaru announces pricing on the new 2015 Forester and it gets a small price increase of $225, but gets many more standard features.

The new 2015 Subaru Forester gets a price increase, but now comes with eight new standard features on the various models. 2015 Forester gets a price bump of $225 and starts at $23,045 including destination for the base 2.5i model. In all, there are eight new standard features being offered across the 2015 Forester lineup.

What’s new for 2015?

There are eight new standard features for the 2015 Forester that range across the lineup. For 2015, the base model 2.5i gets rear vision camera and color multi-function display as standard equipment. The 2.0XT Premium now features a standard All Weather Package. Previously unavailable, the 2.5i Premium manual transmission model is now equipped with a moonroof standard. New for 2015, the 2.5i Touring models will receive standard high luster 18” alloy wheels. All Touring models feature Keyless Access & Start, HID lights and chrome rocker trim.

The 2015 Forester 2.5i model will be available in base ($,23,045 6MT) Premium ($25,445 6MT), Limited ($28,945 CVT) and top-line Touring ($30,945 CVT) versions. The turbocharged 2.0XT will be offered in the Premium ($29,345 CVT) and Touring ($33,945 CVT) versions. All prices are MSRP and include $850 destination charge.

Alloy Wheel Package, $600. All Weather Package, $500. All Weather Package + EyeSight, $1,295. All Weather Package+ EyeSight+ Navigation, $2,395. Navi+ Audio w/Harman Kardon Amplifier and Speakers, $1,850. Navi + Audio w/Harman Kardon Amplifier and Speakers + EyeSIght, $2,645. EyeSight + Navigation, $1,895.

Subaru has lowered the EyeSight option packages on 2015 Forester $500 from the previous model year. EyeSight uses a stereo camera design developed by Subaru to provide a detection angle wider than that of radar-based systems. EyeSight earned a Superior rating (the highest rating) from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS),, when IIHS conducted its first test of accidence avoidance technologies. The EyeSight system integrates Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking and Vehicle Lane Departure Warning.

Forester has received many awards and is the number one selling vehicle in Subaru’s lineup. Forester won the Sport/Utility of the Year award from Motor Trend, named Best SUV in the Yahoo Autos Car of the Year awards and took home the Best Bet award in the Small SUV category in Consumer Reports Best Bet list.

The 2015 Subaru Forester gets a small price increase, but now comes with eight new standard features on the various models. It looks like Forester will continue to be a popular multi-use SUV with a new generation of buyers.
