The Top Ten Chrysler 300 Show Cars from LX Spring Festival

The Chrysler 300 was one of the models that helped to introduce the world to the Chrysler LX platform and while there weren’t as many of the big luxury sedans in the 2015 LX Spring Festival in Irvine, California, the Chrysler 300 owners had just as much to show off as those driving Dodge Challengers and Chargers.

Back in 2005, the new Chrysler LX platform was introduced with the Chrysler 300 sedan and the Dodge Magnum sport wagon in the USA. These rear wheel drive models were an instant success and they led to the LX-based Dodge Charger in the 2006 model year, but when the Chrysler 300C hit the market with the then-new 5.7L Hemi V8 – buyers lined up for the modern American luxury muscle sedan.

The Chrysler 300 has gone through a handful of changes since the 2005 introduction, including a shift towards a more upscale luxury sedan, but the Hemi V8 - including the 6.1L and 6.4L SRT engines – has remained a popular option in the modern 300 sedan. With the addition of the powerful V6 engines, the Hemi has made the Chrysler 300 a popular option for those who want a plush, roomy American sedan with a powerful punch, and these sleek sedans seemed to be the third most common model at the LX Spring Festival after the Dodge Charger and Challenger.

Today, I bring you a look at what I deemed to be the Top Ten Chrysler 300 sedans on display at the Irvine Verizon Amphitheater. With my Top Ten Charger, Challenger and Magnum articles, they were not listed in any specific order, but for the 300, I have a #1 favorite – as it was my favorite car in the entire show of 1,000+ show cars.

This rugged looking Chrysler 300C SRT8 is like something straight out of Mad Max, and it has one of the most unique LX engines builds I have even seen. The owner fitted up a roots style supercharger to the 6.1L SRT Hemi, with the huge blower housing and belt drive assembly poking up through the hood. Add to this monster engine build a sinister matte black finish and you have my favorite car at the 2015 LX Spring Festival.

If Chrysler were to build a Hellcat version of the Chrysler 300, I expect that it would look just like this gorgeous customized sedan.

The modifications are fairly minimal on this Chrysler 300C SRT8, but the matte black paint with satin black accents made for one mean looking sedan.

This Chrysler 300C SRT8 has been slammed to the ground, fitted with unique bronze wheels, vented fenders and a stunning bronze paint scheme that made it a must-see.

When you have an engine bay as beautiful as the one in this Chrysler 300C SRT8, you don’t need a hood.

This Chrysler 300C SRT8 is gloss black with matte black ghost flames and black wheels, which work with the slammed stance to make one great looking luxury sport sedan.

This newer Chrysler 300C SRT doesn’t appear to have much work done, but the solid faced wheels were unlike anything at the show and they created a super clean look that I love.

This Chrysler 300C SRT8 has been lowered, fitted with red wheels, halo headlights and black accents to give it a strong yet subtle look.

This Chrysler 300C had one of the best looking paint jobs at the show with the gloss black upper and deep metallic red sides.

Sometimes, something as simple as painting the chrome trim pieces body color give a luxury sedan a very muscular look, and that is the case with this simply modified Chrysler 300C SRT8.

In the last picture, the stock SRT8 has body colored pieces that are normally chrome on the C version.
