Work for Torque News, follow on Twitter, Youtube and Facebook.

The online configurator tools for the 2016 Dodge Viper have gone live at both Dodge.com and DriveSRT.com, giving prospective buyers and dreamers alike a chance to build and price their ideal Mopar supercar – with both a simple, traditional configurator tool and the expanded Viper Customizer for the track terror ACR.

We have already looked at the configurator tools for the 2016 Dodge Challenger and Charger on Dodge.com, and while the similar 2016 Dodge Viper build page is live on the main Dodge website, the fancier Viper Customizer page is up and running on the DriveSRT website as well. The Dodge.com build page allows you to price out the basic 2016 Viper trimlines with the various packages while the DriveSRT build tool allows you to take advantage of the unique 1-of-1 GTC custom build program.

Today, we look at the detailed pricing of the 2016 Dodge Viper along with a quick look at the cost of building a fully customized 2016 Viper GTC with the remarkable, track-ready American Club Racer (ACR) package.

2016 Dodge Viper Pricing
The 2016 Dodge Viper is offered in four basic trimlines – SRT, GT, GTS and ACR. The Viper SRT is the “base package” and it carries a base price of $91,590 (all prices include gas guzzler tax and destination fees), while the GT adds five-mode traction control, dual mode suspension, a power driver’s seat and some other standard features including the GTS hood with a starting price of $99,590. Options for the Viper SRT include the TA 1.0 and TA 2.0 high performance packages which add $16k or $17k to the bottom line, a handful of different wheel choices, a variety of stripe packages and eight different exterior colors. The Viper GT comes with more wheel options, but no TA packages.

Stepping up to the 2016 Dodge Viper GTS adds Sabelt leather seats, Nappa leather interior trim and an 18 speaker Harman Kardon sound system with a base price of $112,590. The Viper GTS comes with many of the same exterior color options, the exterior stripes and the wheel options, but instead of the TA packages, the Viper GTS comes with the $8,200 Ceramic Blue Sport package.

Finally, the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR – which has been proven to be the most track capable Viper of all time at a variety of tracks around the US – has a starting price of $122,490. The Viper ACR has a long list of standard performance features including a dynamic aerodynamics package, Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes, a fully adjustable suspension setup, unique wheels wrapped in high performance tires and a cabin with less features to reduce vehicle weight. The Viper ACR is available in 9 different exterior colors, 8 different stripe packages, a carbon fiber interior package, unique door sill plates, an exterior carbon fiber package, the extreme aero package, a painted rear wing, a carbon fiber engine bay brace and a unique car cover designed to fit the ACR with the extreme aero package.

If you build the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR with the intention of setting records for as little money as possible, you will want to check just two boxes in the configurator tool – the $6,000 Extreme Aero kit and the $2,800 carbon fiber x-brace. This brings the price of this record setting Viper ACR to $131,290 in its lightest, fastest form. However, if you add the interior and exterior carbon fiber dress up packages, the car cover and one of the $5,000 stripe packages – the ACR tops out at $145,385.

Viper Customizer 1-of-1 Program
If you want to kill a few minutes of your work day – or if you actually plan to order a fully customized 2016 Dodge Viper – you will want the configurator tool on DriveSRT.com. This system allows you to customize literally every aspect of the car, so rather than picking a specific trimline, you start off with a Viper GT and build from there. The “starting price” on the DriveSRT Viper Customizer is $95,895, but as you flip through the paint, packages, interior and wheels – the price rises.

Really, I could go on and on about the Viper Customizer, so if you have some time to kill, click here to build your own 1-of-1 2016 Dodge Viper.
