Infiniti releases first image of the JX crossover

On the seventh day of the seventh month of 2011, at 7:07 a.m., Infiniti posted the first image of the their new concept, the seven-passenger Infiniti JX . The new vehicle will join the luxury line next spring. Also announced was the launch of the "Power of 7", an social media campaign hoping to build a buzz about the JX Concept in advance of its global reveal at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 18.

Each Thursday over the next six weeks another image will be posted on the Infiniti Facebook page. The promotion includes an opportunity for two fans to win a trip to join Infiniti at the vehicle's introduction at the Pebble Beach Concours.

"Families don't have many luxury vehicle options today. The new Infiniti JX will be the 7-passenger antidote to the ho-hum luxury crossovers that are out there right now," said Ben Poore, vice president of Infiniti Americas.

Infiniti will officially debut the production version of the 2013 Infiniti JX, which goes on sale in the Spring of 2012, at the Los Angeles Auto Show this November.

It's nice to see Infiniti build a luxury crossover that combine functionality with luxury and style. Most cross overs do tend to be boring because they are aimed at families and practicality. I'm sure Infiniti will find a way to put its sporty spin on the crossover and make it engaging to drive.
