Is an Audi an automobile or a lifestyle choice?

After Audi discovered they have more social media followers than Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber, they hit upon the brilliant idea of letting some of their model owners tell – unscripted in their own words – how the vehicle has enhanced their lives.

They are posting these testimonials online under the heading Remarkable Audi and the first one features American trance/chill-out electronic musician, producer and DJ Ryan Farin, the Grammy-nominated winner of a 2008 Gospel Music Association Dove award.

You have heard his music for years backing up the Local Weather on the 8’s via the Weather channel as well as various TV shows and movies.

Farin lives in Virginia Beach and drives an Audi TT, so Audi thought it would be interesting to hear how the trained ear of this accomplished musician would perceive the new 19-speaker, 1,400-watt Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System found in the new Audi A8.

Music is an important part of the driving experience for many, but driving the Audi flagship you can completely forget the sound is off. On the other hand when your favorite tracks are in a system like this and the only thing in your face is the open road, you’re likely to forget there’s anywhere else you’d rather be.

Faris’ drive in the Audi A8 bordered on a religious experience. His profession lead him to look into Audi when he was reading a review of a piece of sound equipment he was considering purchasing that stated it was, “as refined as an Audi.”

“The first time I got in the Audi A8 and heard music back it was so lifelike,” he said. “It is crystal clear – its presence is natural.” He doesn’t even have 19 speakers in his entire home and studio.
