Tesla Cybertruck and Ford F150 Do a Torque and Towing Test To See Which One Has More Towing Prowess

In a parking lot, a Tesla Cybertruck and a Ford F150 did a torque and towing test to see which one had more pull. The result was very apparent.

Tesla Cybertruck and Ford F150 in Torque Test

A Tesla Cybertruck and a Ford F150 were bound together with a rope and a cone put together in the center of that rope as both engaged in a test of torque and towing prowess. Which vehicle would prove to be the winner?

This particular test was a quick test in the parking lot, where a cone was used to designate who would win this tug of war. Once the test began, the Cybertruck quickly took the lead, with the Ford F150 having its tires screech on the pavement and smoke filled the air.

Why the Cybertruck Won the Torque Towing Test

The Tesla Cybertruck has the Ford F150 beat in towing capability and its torque power. However, the price is another story. Here's the comparison.

Tesla Cybertruck:

* Price: $100,000 or more right now for a dual-motor Foundation Series. $120,000 for a Cyberbeast
* 123 kWh battery pack
* 2 electric motors for 600 horsepower - extendable to 845
* Torque: 7,435 pound-feet up to 10,296 pound-feet
* 0 to 60 mph: 4.1 seconds upgradeable to 2.6 seconds
* Range: Up to 340 miles
* Weight: 6,603 to 6,843 lbs.

Ford F150:

* Price: $49,995 base up to $91,995 top of the line platinum trim
* 98 kWh battery pack
* 2 electric motors for 462 horsepower - extendable to 580
* Torque: 775 pound-feet
* 0 to 60 mph: 4.1 seconds upgradeable to 4 seconds
* Range: Up to 320 miles
* Weight: About 6,015 to 6,855 lbs.

It's very clear that the Cybertruck reigns supreme in Torque - about 10 times more than the Ford F150. The weight of each vehicle seems to be close - with the Cybertruck weighing about 600 lbs. more in the dual-motor variant compared to Ford's base variant. With the torque difference, though, not exactly a fair fight.

In addition to that, the current Foundation Series Cybertrucks are more expensive. Once "regular" Cybertrucks can be ordered, that price difference will shrink by a lot.

Also, this test should be redone with the following changed:

* The Ford F150 should be 4-wheel drive instead of 2-wheel drive
* Use a mid-range Ford F150

It's clear the Cybertruck is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to torque. However, let's see the Cybertruck up against a Rivian to see which truck EV is the king of towing. I think this would be a much closer match up.

This is just a bunch of erroneous hype. For the price point, at least try using a F-350 instead of a F-150.
