The new 2013 Volkswagen Beetle is getting some “Exclusive” features that are available on the Beetle and Beetle Cabriolet range.

Volkswagen of Europe has announced a new set of “Exclusive” features are available immediately on the new 2013 Volkswagen Beetle and Beetle Cabriolet range. The new “Exclusive” models will include both interior and exterior treatments on the "Design" and "Sport" model lines in Europe. Volkswagen hasn’t said if the new models will be available here in the U.S., but it’s likely we’ll see the new Beetle and Beetle Cabriolet with the new exclusive treatments sometime next year.

The 2013 Beetle and Beetle Cabriolet range is complemented by the "Exclusive" set of features that were designed by the Volkswagen R GmbH. The new model line is now optionally available as "Exclusive" Design or "Exclusive" Sport. The two new models are designed to bring a unique exterior and interior look to the popular Beetle.

“Exclusive” exterior features

It starts on the exterior of the Beetle and Beetle Cabriolet with standard features like black 18-inch polished alloy "Twister" wheels with wheel lock with extended anti-theft protection included. A tire pressure monitoring display will also come as standard on the new models. As an optional extra, 19-inch alloy "Tornado" wheels are also available in white and black for a special effect.

The interior of the new “Exclusive” Beetles will feature a whole host of standard goodies on the unique models. Three different colored leather seating systems will be available in Pepper Beige, Amber Brown and Black, and each equipped with a “sophisticated” diamond stitching.

"Volkswagen Exclusive" interior treatment

Additionally, the new "Exclusive" Beetle and Beetle Cabriolet equipment line will include a dash panel in "Black Uni", door sills in stainless steel with lettering "Volkswagen Exclusive", three-spoke leather steering wheel, gearshift knob, handbrake lever and center armrest in leather, with same stitching color as the center seat. Buyers who choose the special treatment will also get exclusive sport seats in the front, center seat panels and seat lateral supports in "Nappa" Cool Leather,
front and rear textile floor mats with colored edging and a unique leather trim look on the door and side trim.

For those in the U.S., look for the new 2014 Beetle convertible to bow at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. It is expexted to go on sale here early in 2013. VW has said that the same powertrain options that are available in the coupe will also be offered in the convertible. We don’t know if the new “Exclusive” treatment will be offered on the new 2014 Beetle Cabriolet.

The new model line "Exclusive" for the 2013 Beetle and the Beetle Cabriolet is available in Europe for orders immediately. We will have to wait and see if Volkswagen will make the new models available in the U.S. Maybe Volkswagen will bring the new “Exclusive” 2013 Beetle and Beetle Cabriolet to the LA Auto Show later this month.
