Video: Introducing the 2016 Subaru WRX with new wah-wah accelerator pedal

What is a wah-wah guitar pedal doing on the 2016 Subaru WRX? Watch the video from Subaru Australia and see.

Subaru Australia is marketing the new 2016 Subaru WRX with its own performance and some loud sound from hard rock singer-songwriter Harts. Darren Hart from Melbourne, has become known for his Jimi Hendrix-like guitar playing and unique blend of Funk, Pop, Rock and Soul music, which has earned him praise worldwide. Now he’s partnered with Subaru to promote the 2016 WRX performance sedan.

It’s called “W-Wah-X” and its Subaru’s new ad campaign in Australia. They use some out-of-the-box thinking to create what WRX fans like to do, get out on the road and crank up the music. See what happens when Subaru Australia replaces a 2016 WRX accelerator pedal with a legendary “Wah” guitar effects pedal, then invite gun-guitarist Harts to play fast and loud on an airfield somewhere down under.

Subaru Australia calls it the w-wah-X on the 2016 Subaru WRX Premium. They let the talented Harts band members take a WRX accelerator pedal and design a guitar wah-wah pedal to put in its place at the Subaru Academy Australia. The team pulled it off and then on the long straight at the airfield where they shot the video, the thing really worked. They had the 2016 Subaru WRX accelerate in tandem with Harts guitar he was playing in the backseat. Leave it up to Subaru Australia to pull this one off.
