STI is on center stage for Subaru at the New York International Auto Show that runs April 3-12. The 2015 Subaru BRZ STI Concept has been the talk of the show as the Japanese automaker brings Subaru Tecnica International (STI) to show what they can do to a BRZ sports coupe. This Concept won’t make it to dealer showrooms anywhere around the globe and is intended to show STI’s capabilities in performance and motorsports. It’s still an impressive vehicle and you can hear it near the end of the STI Brand video.

The video highlights the motorsports activities of the STI brand together with the BRZ STI Performance Concept that was announced at NYIAS. The STI Performance Concept marks the beginning of this initiative. The STI brand was established in 1988 with the goal of further enhancing Subaru’s position within the motorsports arena. Today, STI partners with Subaru to enhance their performance car lineup with vehicles like the 2015 WRX STI, Forester tS and BRZ tS.

Along with the BRZ STI, the video included video clips from the WRC series and Subaru WRX STI NBR 24hr endurance race, and images of complete cars that have been released in the past.

Subaru says the BRZ STI Performance Concept was developed for display purposes only. Fuji Heavy Industries and STI brought the concept car to NYIAS to announce the launch of the North American expansion of the STI brand and performance division of Subaru.
