How Subaru BRZ blows up the competition again in Russia

The 2015 Subaru BRZ team wins again in the Russian Series racing circuit but the race was not without incidents. What did the team do to win?

The Subaru BRZ sports car has been racing in the Russian Series racing circuit for a few years now and the rear drive coupe is built for the track. It’s been winning in Russia because of the cars driving dynamics and because they have a good team.

The 2015 Subaru BRZ is prepared by Uspensky Rally Tecnica (URT) and they do an excellent job of getting the car ready for driver Maxima Chernev to get behind the wheel. The most recent race of the fourth stage of the Russian Series racing circuit was challenging, but the team came away with another win in the Super Production class.

The race doesn’t start well

On Saturday, the results were less than spectacular as the Subaru BRZ entered the race and was hit on the rear left side of the race car. Because of the contact, the car lost a few positions. On the last lap there was more contact, and the BRZ Maxima went off the road and suffered serious damage.

Uspensky Rally Tecnica provides team support

URT mechanics and engineers managed to fully restore the BRZ and prepared the sports car for the next race. Chernev had to start from the tenth position, but he was able to navigate through all the traffic and eventually finished in first place. Subaru URT and the BRZ was on the top step of the podium again.

Maxima Chernev did a great job of driving, but the team support played a big role in getting the damaged 2015 Subaru BRZ back on the track. Chernev said, “I express sincere gratitude to the entire team of mechanics, engineers and of course the fans. A special thanks to the Subaru dealer Kazan Center for their prompt assistance and support.” The next stage was just held in Smolensk August 1-2. Stay tuned.
