Why is this 2016 Tacoma tackling tire piles?

The 2016 Toyota Tacoma test shows dealer education takes all forms.

The new 2016 Tacoma is an exciting new truck for Toyota dealers. The Tacoma is one of Toyota’s top-selling vehicles, and since the Toyota plant added a third shift a few months back, the Tacoma has been selling out at its new approximately 17,000 unit per month rate. Although it would seem easy to sell a vehicle in such high demand, Toyota has always prided itself on dealer training, and many dealers go beyond that which Toyota offers.

The vehicle in the video shown is being driven by a dealership sales associate learning what the capabilities of the Tacoma are. Truck owners know just how tough and off-road ready the Tacoma is, but unless you’ve actually put one through its paces, it is hard to relate. This video was supplied by a team member at a Charlotte, North Carolina dealership.

Although we do consider ourselves experts on trucks, our ticket to the media launch of the new Tacoma in Washington state went unused due to a family emergency. Our first stab at the new 2016 Tacoma will be at an upcoming event in New York State where we hope to put the Tacoma to the test on-road and also off. Report to follow.
