McLaren launches merchandise to complement 12C

McLaren knows its market and it knows it well. If you're in that market, you are likely a 30-something man of high income who loves speed and prefers a lifestyle that fits with your 2-seat mega machine.

To complement that, the company has drawn on its relationship with design houses and launched the McLaren eStore (mclarenstore.com) in which lovers of the McLaren 12C can find accessories to complement their vehicle of choice.

Items include men's accessories, clothing, luggage, and more. All styled to look great when coupled with the McLaren 12C supercar. Of course, even Marilyn Manson would look great standing next to this car..

Men's accessories include a special edition TAG Heuer chronograph wristwatch made in collaboration with Automotive Design Director Frank Stpehenson at McLaren and TAG Heuer's design team. The special edition watch is the Tag Heuer MP4-12C chronograph, using carbon fiber for the dial and design cues from the car. Only 1,000 of the watches will be available in series, globally.

To go with the watch (or separately), a McLarenSport mechanical bracelet by Links of London is also now available, celebrating the carmaker's innovative use of carbon fiber in Formula 1. The bracelent is styled after the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 cars, including mesh inspired by the piping used by McLaren Racing.

The luggage is meant to maximize the tiny trunk of the 12C as a fitted set. The Bespoke cases were designed in collaboration with the McLaren Automotive design studio and are made from exclusive carbon fiber material with silver or McLaren Orange detail stitching. The exterior design of the cases mimics the engine cover of the 12C while the inner lining is of the same Space Fabric used in the car's interior. Three sizes of case can be purchased separately or as a set.

Exclusive, high-quality leather accessories include a black leather wallet and card holder, with McLaren Orange stitching, and a pair of elegant driving gloves of the same material. Clothing includes a slim-fit, Italian black sports jacket, black polo shirt, and black cap. The jacket features heat-welded stitching and outer tapered sides to ensure a superior finish and the cap and shirt feature embossed McLaren logos.
