Options and extras on 2012 Toyota Venza appeal to the eye and the ear

The 2012 Toyota Venza, which was introduced today and whose television ads began airing today, comes with fewer options than the option-fat 2011 models. Here's a breakdown of what extras made the cut for 2012:

Venzas with V6 engines: The Towing Prep Package gives the 2012 Venza an engine oil cooler, larger radiator fan and heavy-duty alternator.

For the Venza LE: A power liftgate and rear back-up camera are available options and the Preferred Package adds a panoramic glass roof with front power moonroof.

For the Venza XLE: A Premium Package includes a panoramic glass roof with front power moonroof, a JBL Synthesis surround-sound system featuring an AM / FM six-disc in-dash CD changer with integrated satellite radio and 13 speakers. A Navigation Package includes a voice-activated touch screen DVD navigation system with integrated back-up camera, JBL Synthesis surround-sound system featuring an AM / FM 4-disc in-dash CD changer with integrated satellite radio, Bluetooth and 13 speakers .

Accessories: Customers who want their Venza to be pet-friendly can buy pet utility accessories at Toyota dealerships. Among options are a rear liftgate pet ramp, booster seat with harness, pet buckles and rear seat zipline-style harnesses, pet carriers and bucket seat, bench seat and hammock style waterproof seat covers.
