The 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Editions are rolling off the assembly line. Watch this production video saying goodbye to the last models ever.

Mitsubishi began the last production of the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution with the Final Edition model in August. This was a limited production run of only 1000 examples that was produced for the Japan market. All the Japan models have been produced and accounted for and are being shipped to dealers now.

This special Final Edition spec performance car is based on a Japanese-spec Evolution X GSR variant, and features a slight power hike to its 2.0 liter 4B11 MIVEC turbo unit. The engine produces 313 PS at 6,500 rpm and 429 Nm at 3,500 rpm. Watch the final production goodbye video below.

The 1000 Final Edition models 2.0-liter MIVEC turbo four cylinder engine will feature newly adopted sodium inclusion exhaust valves and they will improve output and better power in medium and high speed range. The production model will come standard with factory-installed Bilstein single cylinder shock absorbers, Eibach springs, Brembo two-piece large-diameter ventilated disc brakes in the front, and 18-inch BBS wheels wrapped in 245/40R18 high performance tires.

The Final Edition model, based on the GSR trim, will come with a five-speed manual gearbox. Deliveries of the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition are under way now, with final shipment to customers expected to be completed by March 2016. When will fans see the Final Edition in the U.S.? Stay tuned.
