Performance-oriented 2015 Lancer Ralliart comes with these 8 new features

The 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, the closest car to the legendary Lancer Evolution, is coming with new standard features.

The new 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart is not far off the pace of its high-performance stablemate, the legendary Lancer Evolution, and now comes with eight new standard features. The turbocharged Lancer Ralliart has rally-bred performance and still comes powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged/intercooled 237 bhp and 253 lb. ft of torque MIVEC engine. It comes mated to a 6-speed Twin-Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission, full-time All-Wheel Control with Active Center Differential and front helical limited-slip differential with rear limited-slip differential. And it gets eight new standard features.

What’s new for 2015?

The 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart comes with seven new standard features both inside and out for the new model year. It now comes with HID headlights, 18-in. dark finish alloy wheels, 9 speaker 710-watt Rockford Fosgate premium sound system, auto-dimming rearview mirror, auto on/off headlight control, rain-sensing wipers and new white contrast seat and door stitching. All Lancer models now come standard with new heated side view mirrors with turn indicators.

An enthusiast’s driver's choice

2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart is the car to have for driving enthusiasts. It’s 2.0-liter turbo engine is a slightly detuned version of the engine that propels the high-performance Lancer Evolution sports sedan. Mitsubishi hasn’t release pricing on the new 2015 Lancer Ralliart , but it’s a great deal for performance fans because it comes equipped with the same advanced performance equipment of the "Evo" at a more attainable price point.

Evolution 6-speed transmission

Ralliart's drivetrain is also fitted with an essentially identical quick-shifting high-tech 6-speed Twin-Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission (TC-SST) as that of the Lancer Evolution. The performance-oriented Lancer Ralliart has an EPA fuel mileage rating of 18 mpg city/25 mpg highway.

The Ralliart's 2.0-liter turbocharged engine also comes with essentially the same engine architecture of its big brother, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. It comes with MMC’s MIVEC variable valve-timing technology, with a reduced power out of 237 horsepower. How does it compare with the 2015 Subaru WRX? 2015 WRX's 2.0-liter turbo boxer engine now pumps out 268 horsepower and 258 lb ft of torque.

Other rally-bred features

Lancer Ralliart's is ready to handle extreme driving situations on wet or dry pavement and also on the track. It features a full-time All-Wheel Control (AWC) all-wheel drive system that includes an Active Center Differential (ACD), rear limited-slip differential and a front helical limited-slip differential. It offers the driver three different driver-selectable modes (Tarmac, Gravel and Snow settings) for the advanced All-Wheel Control (AWC) system.

Other major standard features

Lancer Ralliart also comes standard with sport aluminum foot pedals, steering wheel paddle shifters, rearview camera, FUSE Hands-Free Link System with USB port, voice-activated Bluetooth, key passive entry system with alarm feature and steering wheel-mounted cruise, audio system and Bluetooth hands-free system controls.
