The new 2017 Nissan Titan steals a page from Ford’s F-150. They get a new special-equipment package that goes after the huge Texas pickup market.

If you live in the Lone Star State of Texas, you have to feel honored. Nissan has stolen a page from Ford’s playbook and comes out with a new special-equipment package called “Texas Titan”. Just like Ford has the King Ranch F-150, Nissan now has their own Texas-style truck. Let’s face it, Texas is the biggest truck market in the US and Nissan want’s a piece of it. How will they do it?

What’s new on the Texas Titan?

Everything is bigger in Texas right? Nissan’s Fred Diaz says, ”For native Texans like myself, the Texas Titan is the perfect representation of Texas attitude, big horsepower, big torque, huge capabilities.” That all sounds good, but what’s included on the new special edition Titan XD?

The new 2017 Texas Titan includes

Chrome inner and outer grille finish
20-inch chrome aluminum-alloy wheels
Metallic-finish kick plates
Texas TITAN floor mats
Chrome exhaust finishers
Texas TITAN badging

The package is available in a range of two Titan and four Titan XD Crew Cab grades, including 4x4 and 4x2 drive configurations. Nissan will announce pricing closer to dealer launch.

The new 2017 Nissan “Texas Titan” makes its debut at the State Fair of Texas kickoff event. It’s part of Nissan's "Year of the Truck" celebration of the 2017 Titan, Armada, Pathfinder and Rogue.
