Moscow Models show off the goods for Nissan

In Moscow this week, Nissan is all about the models. These beauties attract thousands as Nissan moves more aggressively into this fast-growing European market.

The Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS) opened this week and for Nissan, it's all about the models. Beautiful curves and tastefully luscious cloth adorned several that were about to be unveiled to the Russian audience.

The girls were nice looking too.

Nissan is premiering several Russia-specific variants of its top-selling models for the European market. Russia is also the only market wherein all three Nissan brands are sold: Nissan, Infiniti and Datsun. Several of the vehicles showcased are built in St. Petersburg where Nissan has launched the nation's first hybrid vehicle production in the Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid.

Also launched was a new Nissan Sentra sedan (shown above) which will be built alongside the Pathfinder in St. Petersburg through Nissan alliance partner AvtoVAZ, Russia's largest automaker. Nissan is pushing towards a 90 percent car localization goal by 2016 and this alliance makes that a possibility.

Alongside Nissan, the Infiniti and Datsun brands were also showcased at MIAS. Datsun unveiled the new mi-DO five-door hatchback as one of the nine world premiers given at the show this year. This builds on the on-DO sedan, which went into production in Russia just a few weeks ago. The mi-DO focuses on active lifestyles and sportier design.
