A new Mazda dealership opened today in Beccles in the United Kingdom. Wrights Mazda's opening brings the Japanese carmaker's cars to customers in northeast Suffolk in the UK for the first time, the daily Norwich Evening News in Norfolk reported today on its Web site.

The new Mazda auto dealership is promoting itself by inviting deejays from radio station The Beach 103.4 to broadcast from its new showroom on Common Lane North all weekend. The dealership will normally be open weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

People who come to the new Wrights Mazda dealership campus this weekend will get to test-drive the latest Mazda sports cars and win prizes in a competition. One person will win a 40-inch LCD TV.

Gordon Wright , dealer principal for Wrights Mazda at Beccles, said: “We moved from our old premises in Lowestoft to our brand new site in Beccles ... to bring the Mazda brand closer to our customers, and we’re looking forward to what promises to be a great opening party. ...

“From our new state-of-the-art facility, we will be showcasing the full Mazda new car line-up, have a used-car sales operation and offer manufacturer-approved servicing and repair" from a convenient location.

The owners hope the location, along with some clever promotions, boost new and used car sales for the family business while at the same time bringing spirited Mazdas to the streets of this UK town. The dealership was cited by Mazda in 2010 for having sold the Japanese marque's cars and trucks with distinction from its last site for 25 years.

The new Wrights Mazda dealership is a 10-minute drive from its previous Lowestoft aftersales workshop. Wrights Mazda will be a one-stop-shopping site in the region for all Mazda-related sales, service and repair operations.

Mazdas that are available for purchase include the MX-5 and a special edition MX-5 Sport Black. Its brilliant black roof, gun-metal alloy wheels and choice of spirited green, true red and crystal white colors make the special edition MX-5 stand out.
