During a recent interview with Automobile Magazine, Chrysler Group and Fiat SpA CEO Sergio Marchionne confirmed that the company is currently a Dodge Dart SRT4 but the Chief Exec did not offer any details on the high performance variant of the new C segment sedan.

While speaking with the folks at Automobile magazine, Chrysler Group CEO Sergio Marchionne confirmed that the Chrysler Town & Country minivan would be discontinued in 2014, with that slot in the Chrysler brand lineup being replaced with a new crossover.

Moparpalooza took place yesterday at Fair Oaks Motors in Chantilly Virginia and one of the star attractions at the big Mopar show was the 2013 SRT Viper – and as the new supercar was leaving one opportunistic videographer got footage of the 2013 Viper starting, idling, revving and driving away.

The Chrysler Group recently received an OBIE award for their innovative billboard campaign featuring the Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty: MW3 Special Edition on a unique billboard using backlighting that showed different images during the day and night.

The Chrysler Group has just announced that they are recalling almost 68,000 Jeep Wrangler sport utility vehicles from the 2010 model year over a concern that debris could get packed between the catalytic converter and the protective underbody skid plate – possibly leading to a fire under the vehicle.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall of select Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan models from the 2012 model year over a concern that a rear liftgate pinch sensor may malfunction – increasing the likelihood of injuring someone when the power door is trying to close with a person’s body part in the way.

Today the Chrysler Group announced the start of production for the 2013 Dodge Dart at the Belvidere Assembly Plant in Illinois – with the very first new Dart to roll off of the line for public consumption being a 2013 Dart Rallye powered by the optional 1.4L turbocharged engine fitted to a manual transmission.
