Jay Leno, Chrysler and Kelly Clarkson Show Team Up to Provide Family with 2022 Chrysler Pacifica

A specialized vehicle can make all the difference in the world for a family with a differently-abled member. Jay Leno, Chrysler and the popular talk show joined forces to provide a wheelchair-accessible minivan to a special family.

Chrysler has been collaborating with BraunAbility to create accessible vehicles for 45 years. This year to celebrate BraunAbility’s 50th anniversary, it took on a special project. The automaker joined Jay Leno, BraunAbility and the Kelly Clarkson Show to provide a wheelchair-accessible 2022 Chrysler Pacifica to a police officer and his daughter, who has cerebral palsy.

The group surprised veteran Los Angeles Police Officer Christian Arrue and his family with the customized 2022 wheelchair -accessible Chrysler Pacifica minivan. Jay Leno was filling in as host of the show and was thrilled to present the vehicle to help Bella, the officer’s daughter who has cerebral palsy. Arrue is a former Olympian and his wife, Lisa, has recently started a school to help other disabled students like 20-year-old Bella.

Chrysler created the minivan and truly invented the entire minivan segment. It is the original living room on wheels. The company has continued to innovate in the segment creating specialized seating, storage and even adding a vacuum for all of the messes that families encounter. Chrysler has added all-wheel-drive to some models, created a hybrid powertrain version and even added a special camera to some trim levels that allows the driver to closely monitor rear-facing child seats.
