Mercedes-Benz Updates the CLA-Class for New York

Now Mercedes-Benz is giving their smallest sedan some updates. Outside, Mercedes has put on a new front bumper to create a more cohesive design. The back gets a new bumper and exhaust tips that sit flush with it. Other changes include new wheel designs and the addition of Lunar Blue metallic paint color. The AMG version gets the new bumper and titanium gray inserts for the rear splitter.

The interior gets small changes such as a slimmer screen for the infotainment system, revised instrument cluster, and chrome trim for the various controls. Standard equipment sees some notable additions including a backup camera and Active Brake Assist that brings the vehicle to a stop if it detects a potential accident. Options include LED headlights and the Hands Free Access system that automatically opens the trunk when you stand behind the car.

Not seeing any changes is the engine lineup. The CLA250 sticks with 2.0L turbo-four engine producing 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The CLA 45 AMG comes with a turbocharged 2.0L producing 375 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.

Mercedes says the 2017 CLA lineup will arrive at dealers this fall. Pricing will be announced at a later date.
