This is the Vision Van Concept which looks like it should be in a science fiction movie. But this van gives an idea of how Mercedes' sees the future of delivering items and it includes drones.

The Vision Van's design is reminiscent of the Vision Tokyo concept with large swaths of sheet metal and rounded corners. There is blue accent lighting running underneath the vehicle, LED headlights, and a grille that lights up. Possibly the coolest part of the Vision Van is what sits on top. A set of “integrated delivery drones” can take packages from the van and drop them off at your doorstep. The van also features a system where it can tell the driver where a specific package is for the next delivery.

Under the futuristic skin, the Vision Van features a 75-kWh electric drive unit that is said to provide between 50 to 168 miles of range "depending on the application".

Along with the Vision Van Concept, Mercedes announced a new initiative called adVANce that will work towards providing advanced technologies to improve deliveries. Over the next 5 years, Mercedes will invest 500 million euros (about $561,935,000) into this initiative.
