This is the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 which the company claims is the most extreme Jaguar to date. We have no reason to refute this when you take a look what how much power is being produced - close to 600 horsepower from a 5.0L Supercharged V8 engine. Jaguar is only planning only building 300 of these models worldwide next year.

We'll have more details on the XE SV Project 8 towards the end of June. In the meantime, you can check out a teaser film showing a prototype on the Nurburgring.

"The time is right for SVO to produce the most extreme performance road car in the history of Jaguar. The SVO team is possessed by the spirit of performance and committed to creating the most thrilling driving experience imaginable. Our clients worldwide were thrilled by the F-TYPE Project 7. The new XE SV Project 8 takes aerodynamics and performance engineering to another level – it is conceived for enthusiasts and the most discerning collectors. The price for such an extreme performance sports car available in strictly limited numbers will reflect that," said John Edwards, managing director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations.
