Honda’s Airbag Recall Reminder as Serious as Death by Airbag

Unfortunately, as announced Monday by American Honda Motor Company, no fewer than 10 Honda owners have experienced death by airbag, I can’t think of a worse way to go, in the aftermath, of an airbag deployment -- metal fragments and plastic shards hitting one’s face and upper body--resulting in bleed out and subsequent death by cutting and impalement. Death by Airbag is preventable, and free of charge.

Reading between the lines of Honda’s announcement, thousands of otherwise well meaning Honda owners for one reason or another, have not taken the time to drive their aging Honda to a local dealership for this free airbag replacement. Even my 84 year young Honda Fit driving mother took the effort to comply. Now, her lightly used Honda is sell able -- before the repair, it wasn’t.

There should be no parts-related delay in the repair of your vehicle.
