O.K., there's no denying it. 2016 Acura MDX is a serious SUV processing off-road tendencies with a dressed-up western kind off after-hours charm and presentability. It’s the tuxedo dressed cowboy side of Acura. America’s # 1 selling SUV is as comfortable in the dirt as it is in valet parking, and a big part of it’s appeal is Acura’s exterior and interior color palette.

Tuesday afternoon found a 2016 Acura MDX AWD Advanced with rear entertainment option delivered to Torque News for a week-long drive and review. Our first impression is that MDX is visually stunning! Featuring a Forest Mist Metallic exterior color with a Eucalyptus leather on gray, burnished metal and faux wood clad interior, we were hesitant to enter MDX without removing our boots.

Looking to the 2nd row seating with climate control, pull down monitor and surround sound theater, one would be hard pressed to find a higher-end livingroom environment.

We were first introduced to Acura’s latest color pallet direction at the unveiling of the 2015 Acura TLX. Presenting custom-car-like exterior finishes, 3-color interior design schemes, upgraded and updated hard and soft surface integration and top quality, carpet twill and bolstering, Acura takes the high road to automotive fashion while preserving tough-duty attributes in MDX, RDX and throughout the sedan line up.
