Tesla Sends Invites To Even Today In Malibu For Tesla Model 3 Performance "Ludicrous"

Word is that Tesla sent some invites to MKBHD, Jason Cammisa, Rory from AutoTrader, and other big YouTubers and industry people, who attended an event at Malibu today for the new Tesla Model 3 performance, nicknamed "Ludicrous".

The new Tesla Model 3 performance has been fairly hush, hush this year, but anyone watching knows that it is going to be released sometime this year. That time appears to be fast approaching in just a few days.

The pricing of this vehicle in the U.S. will probably be $54,999 - and the reason for that is it has to be $55,000 or less to qualify for the $7,500 U.S. federal tax credit for EV sedans.

More About the Ludicrous Model 3 Performance

This vehicle should use 2170 batteries from Giga Nevada, just like the old Model 3 performance did, in order to have U.S. sourced batteries that make it able to qualify for the tax credit.

If the performance specs are really impressive, Tesla could also make an upgrade available to truly unlock the full performance of the vehicle, instead of raising the price above $55,000.

Other rumored specs are that the new Model 3 Performance will do a 0 to 60 mph time in 2.9 seconds.
