How To Remove the Snow and Ice Off Your Tesla Vehicle Without Touching It

There is a way to remove the snow and ice from your Tesla without having to touch it.

Removing Snow and Ice From Your Tesla

One of the worst things about winter is having to de-snow or de-ice your car and getting your hands cold every morning.

In cases like this where your car is covered in snow or ice, you might try taking a snow brush or pouring hot water on your car. Either of these options may work, however, hot water runs the risk of cracking windshields and windows.

There is a better way to clean off your Tesla in the winter that doesn't require grabbing a snow brush or pouring hot water on the car.

Tesla vehicles are some of the most technologically advanced - and simple and easy to use cars you can buy on the market today.

There are a variety of things you can do in a Tesla app to "remote control" it, such as turning on Sentry Mode in order to see live video of your care remotely or making the horn beep or locking or unlocking the doors.

With a Tesla vehicle, you can take care of this using the app by simply setting the climate controls. Inside the app, there is an option to turn on the climate controls right on the home page.

The icon looks like a wind powered set of blades, with four blades, like so:

Once you tap the climate controls, and you can see that they are on, wait about 5 minutes, and you can get in a completely clear and warm car.

Your car will use some of its battery in order to run the climate controls and have the car get cleared off - when I do it, it ends up being about 1%.

I haven't had to do it too often, as I usually don't park my car outside. However, the few times I've had too, it's been a lifesaver and made things very simple.

Try doing this in your gas car - cleaning off the snow and ice without touching it or pouring hot water on it. Unless your car is a hybrid, remote controlling it in this way with energy usage is generally not a good idea as the battery is very small.
