Mercedes-Benz has announced pricing and launch timing on the all-new entry level 2015 GLA-Class compact luxury SUV. The eagerly-awaited entry level compact SUV will be available here in the U.S. in September and Mercedes is expecting the luxury compact to be a big hit with younger buyers. It comes with new pricing that should make it an attractive offering with a new generation of buyers looking to buy their first luxury vehicle.

GLA-Class reinterprets the compact SUV segment
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class reinterprets the compact SUV segment and establishes a new entry point to the Mercedes family of SUVs. The 2015 GLA-Class come standard with a number of attractive features like COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS with autonomous braking, power lift gate, chrome roof rails, bluetooth, electronic parking brake, and power front seats with memory.
GLA will appeal to those with active lifestyles
The new luxury compact SUV gets a progressive design that will allow new Mercedes buyers to use it for daily commuting during the week, and use it for recreation on the weekends. It’s small and compact enough for city commutes and robust enough with 4MATIC all-wheel-drive for off-road adventures. Young millennials will be drawn to the new compact SUV who lead active lifestyles.
The 2015 GLA-Class is the first Mercedes to be available with the new-generation all-wheel-drive 4MATIC with fully variable torque distribution. The new system features a power take-off to the rear axle that is integrated into the seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, and the rear-axle gear with integrated, electrohydraulically controlled multi-disc clutch. The new-generation 4MATIC has a lower weight and also allows fully variable distribution of the drive torque between front and rear axles.
