Nissan to Unveil Gripz Concept in Frankfurt

A new crossover concept will be unveiled in Frankfurt this week. Nissan is calling it the Gripz and it's modeled off the Juke and a surprise old-school Nissan of renown.

The Gripz concept will premier globally at the Frankfurt auto show this week. Three sources of inspiration were used to design this new crossover concept, which may become a production model or forward-looking ideal for the next-generation compact crossover Juke.

Inspiration comes from the current Nissan Juke, from a bicycle's human-to-machine cohesiveness, and from the legendary Nissan 240Z desert racers of old. "The design explores a new sporty direction for a Crossover concept and was conceived to create an innovative new driving sensation," says Nissan.

The world premier takes place on Tuesday, so we'll have more then. Until that time, though, enjoy this video that accompanied the teaser image above.
