Rolls-Royce apprenticeship program seeks worthy candidates

The Rolls-Royce Apprentice Program is for the plant located in Goodwod, UK. The apprenticeships begin at the end of August 2012. Apprentices will find themselves working among some of the most skilled craftspeople in the world. Different departments and categories included leather, wood, paint, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and assembly roles.

Rolls-Royce Apprenticeship Program was successfully launched back in 2006. The program provides young people aged 16-24 with the opportunity to train with Rolls-Royce, building the world’s best-selling ultra-luxury cars. Sine the program's inception 30 young people have secured jobs after successfully completing the apprenticeship. Last year the program was extended to include not just manufacturing but business as well. The first business apprentice was recruited recently.

The length of apprenticeship varies depending on what area a candidate chooses, but they usually last for up to four years and combine on-the-job training with studying for nationally recognized qualifications in Britain. The program was designed in conjunction with the Learning Skills Council (LSC).

This demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the development and training of young people at the very highest levels of UK manufacturing”, said Andrew Ball, Corporate Communications Manager, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “Our new apprentices will join the company at an exciting time.”

Rolls-Royce obviously will be searching for the best and brightest candidates, because not just anyone can build a Rolls-Royce of course. Candidates should be smart, skilled, and have great attention to detail. Rolls-Royce wants people who they feel could become an asset and grow with the company, beyond the apprenticeship period. In addition to the Apprenticeship Program, the company also runs a successful graduate program. New and varied positions are made available each year for the graduate program and provides people with great opportunities. Rolls-Royce also found 50 jobs for young men and women in 2011 for industrial field. The company will most likely make even more jobs available later this year.
