VW will officially launch the replacement for the luxury CC model at the Geneva Auto Show this week. Named the Arteon, the new luxury model slots in above the Passat in the VW line. It will be a 2018 in Europe and will be available soon. Arteon will go on sale in the U.S. in 2019.

When the 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf goes on sale in the spring it will feature an improved 100 kWh motor and a better battery. The result of the improvements has been an improvement in range to 125 miles. With a 240-volt charging system, the battery can be charged in under six hours.

According to an article in the German magazine Der Stern, they have obtained a "smoking presentation" that raises questions and points out someone who may be a chief architect of the scandal.

For various reasons, you can get a great deal if you are in the market for a new sedan or crossover. Normally, sedans are strong performers, but, sales have been off for more than a year as crossovers have passed sedans by taking the top spot. Because sales are slow, you can push dealers into great deals. The same is true of a number of crossover models.

Volkswagen worldwide deliveries dipped a bit in January as changes in China's tax code caused sales in VW's biggest market to drop. In addition, sales in Germany were also down as employees receiving enhanced leasing opporunities.
