2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS Rejects Hybrid Power, But Roars Back With Performance

The 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS adopts Cayenne Turbo GT elements and aims for to be a pure, performance SUV, without electrification.

While the third-generation Porsche Cayenne has been around since 2017, Porsche has done an excellent job at keeping the model, not just relevant, but also at the top of the performance SUV game.

The 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS is the latest example, as it gets significant upgrades. Unlike the Cayenne Turbo, which in 2024, became a hybrid-only model, the Cayenne GTS keeps things more traditional.

2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS Performance Specifications

  • Engine: 4.0-liter, twin-turbo, DOHC V-8
  • Output: 493 horsepower at 6,000 RPM, 487 pound-feet at 2,100-4,500 RPM
  • Transmission and drivetrain: 8-speed PDK automatic, all-wheel drive
  • 0-60 MPH: 4.2 seconds
  • Top speed: 171 MPH

2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS gets significant chassis and suspension upgrades

The 2025 Cayenne GTS gets upgraded air suspension as standard, which can lower the SUV by an additional 10 mm compared to other Cayenne versions. The front suspension also features pivot bearings for sharper steering response, borrowed from the range-topping, Cayenne Turbo GT.

The 2025 Cayenne GTS can also be equipped with active roll stabilization, which further reduces body roll. Last but not least, the Cayenne GTS benefits from revised cooling for the all-wheel-drive system, now featuring a dedicated cooling circuit.

The 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS can be had with various lightweight packages, including a lightweight roof, diffuser, and reduced insulation, resulting in 55 pounds (25 kg) of weight-shaving.

Unique, GTS styling

The classic approach. The 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS becomes more capable without resorting to electrification

As always, the GTS models in Porsche's lineup stand out from the rest with unique features. Larger air intakes, gloss-black accents around the wheel arches, rocker panels, window trim, diffuser, and bronze, center exhaust tips. Also unique to the Cayenne GTS are the tinted headlights and taillights, as well as the 21-inch RS Design wheels.

Interior changes are more subtle, but just as dedicated to performance driving. The main feature here is the standard, Race-Tex microfiber on the door cards, headliner, center section of the eight-way adjustable seats, and the steering wheel.

The 2025 Porsche Cayenne is available in, both SUV and coupe forms. The coupe gets fixed, panoramic roof, and active rear spoiler as standard.

What is the price of the 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS?

  • 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS SUV starting price: $126,895
  • 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupe starting price: $131,495

The 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS shows that it cares about people who want an uncomplicated performance SUV. The GTS relies on a potent V-8 without any form of hybridization in sight. Like other Porsche GTS models, the Cayenne GTS perfectly occupies the sweet spot between (relative) affordability and performance.
