GreenCarReports names the Prius Family the 2012 Best Green Car to Buy

Toyota releases 2011 North American Environmental Report

Toyota has just released their 2011 Environmental Report for North American detailing the success of the most fuel-efficient auto manufacturer in the United States has had in the fulfillment of their fairly aggressive, five-year Environmental Action Plan (EAP). Not only has the company achieved breakthroughs within the industry’s leading fleet of sustainable, advanced technology vehicles, but has also reinforced its environmental practices and partnerships across all operations.

Toyoda plans to revamp Lexus, build profits for Toyota

Akio Toyoda revealed himself to be a new agent of change soon after the media feeding frenzy played out last year. Toyoda placed greater authority with regional operations to enhance the company’s adaptability. This year, to shake things up, he cut the number of directorial positions to 11, down from 27, to limber up internal processes and allow quicker decision making.

Akio Toyoda, president and CEO of Toyota motors, took the helm right when the $115 billion company posted its first loss in decades. As the first of the Toyoda family to take charge since 1995, he vowed from day one to take his grandfather’s auto manufacturing firm "back to the basics" and return to building cars to make people happy.
