General Motors News and Reviews

General Motors Company (NYSE: GM) is a linchpin of the U.S. automotive industry, selling millions of vehicles every year - 8.3 million in 2018, to be precise – and employing more than 170,000 workers. More familiarly known as GM, the auto company counts iconic brands Buick and Cadillac under its corporate umbrella, as well the more utilitarian GMC brand and the budget-conscious Chevrolet badge.

Formed in 1908 in Flint, Michigan, General Motors has a long history with the Great Lakes State. Alongside the Ford Motor Company, GM’s presence in the region and its creation of popular cars under various brands are some of the main reasons that Detroit is so widely known as Motor City. GM is a Fortune 500 company and frequently appears in the top 25 of that list as one of the largest U.S. corporations by revenue.

Here at Torque News, we cover a wide variety of stories involving General Motors, from new models and announcements to the company’s latest technology developments and electric vehicle initiatives. 2019 Cadillac Escalade Front

How will the Cadillac Escalade stay GM's profit leader with their promise of an EV future

A big SUEV like a Cadillac Escalade EV would sell really well under the Cadillac banner, but just like Tesla's Maxwell battery initiative, GM also needs to come up with some revolutionary EV battery initiative of their own to get head of competition. Producing an affordable EV battery will be a decisive factor in taking electric cars to the next generation.
GM Bechtel Charging Network

What Kind of Charging Network Can GM and Bechtel Build with $0 Down?

One of the main criticisms laid at the door of General Motors and its commitment to electric vehicles is the lack of any viable charging network.
