Ford trucks and SUVs lead the way in September 2011, Lincoln struggles

Ford Motor Company showed the lowest positive growth of any major automaker group doing business in the US market but with an improvement of 9% over September 2010, Ford beat out American Honda and Toyota Motor Co. in September sales growth thanks mostly to the popularity of their pickup trucks and SUVs.

Ford promises 12,000 new jobs, $16 billion investment in UAW deal

This morning, Ford Motor Company announced that they had come to a tentative agreement with the United Auto Workers for a new labor contract, with the automaker committing to add 12,000 new jobs in the United States while also promising to invest $16 million dollars to protect the future of American manufacturing jobs.

Auto workers want prosperity delivered in new UAW-Ford Motor contract

The UAW will call a news conference today after presidents and chairs of its Ford Council review and then vote on a tentative four-year contract that is expected to be offered by Ford Motor Co. Bargainers are mum on all of the details going into the morning meeting in downtown Detroit because they don't want to jinx anything and nothing is signed yet.

It's official: UAW ratifies new 4-year labor contract with General Motors

Earlier today we brought you the news that the UAW announced that most of the Local union branches who had voted to ratify the new General Motors labor contract have voted in favor of the new deal and now, the move is official as the United Auto Workers have voted to ratify the new GM 4-year labor contract.

GM-UAW contract nears union approval, Ford and Chrysler talks continue

The final step of the full approval of the new labor agreement between General Motors and the UAW is voting for ratification by the Local union branches around the country and with 31 of the 50 or so Locals in the US, it looks like the new 4 year GM-UAW contract will be approved sometime today.

Ford wins reversal of $43 million dollar Lincoln Town Car case

In 2005, an Iowa court ruled that Ford Motor Company was liable for the death of a 73 year old man when the Lincoln Town Car in which he was riding was struck by another car – killing him and severely burning his wife – but through the process of appeal, the Iowa Supreme Court has overruled the original $43 million award issued to the wife of the deceased man.

Forza 4 to offer first playable demo on October 3rd

Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios has announced that the first playable demo for the upcoming Forza Motorsports 4 will be available on October 3rd for Xbox Live Gold members (October 7th for everyone else) and when the game is launched in the US on October 11th, Forza aficionados will have a chance to snag a ton of extra content with the Season Pass.
