Chevrolet Corvette: News, Reviews and Pricing

The Chevrolet Corvette is the original American sports car, serving as a competitor to the greatest performance cars from around the world since the 1950s. The new C8 Corvette is expected to be unveiled on July 18th. The 7th and latest generation of Corvette has really put GM back on top in regards to being America’s sports car. It completely redesigned the interior using much better quality materials and making it feel as good as it looks.

The C7 Corvette lineup consists of 4 models. The Stingray, Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1. Each one increases in horsepower, handling, and aerodynamics as you move up the models. The Nürburgring track times were recently released for all 4 of these models with the fastest one being the ZR1 which lapped the ring in 7:04. Jim Mero (previous suspension engineer for GM) stated the ZR1 could have had a 6:59 second if he was able to drive the car on properly warmed tires. This time puts the C7 Corvette ZR1 into supercar territory.

GM is Still Working on a Mid-Engine Chevrolet Corvette - or Something with a Mid-Engine Design

There have been multiple reports in the past few days of what appears to be a mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette test car in heavy camouflage and while we still haven’t heard a single word from GM on this long-rumored supercar – the constant presence over the course of the past year all but proves that there is a midship Chevy on the way.

C7 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 'Ring Videos Confirm an Automatic Transmission

While it seems likely that the C7 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (should it carry that name) will have a quick-shifting automatic transmission, the videos showing was is believed to be the next super-Vette storming around the Nürburgring confirms that a self-shifting transmission as at least being considered – if its not already a sure thing.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Owners File Class-Action Lawsuit over Cooling Issues

The Seattle-based law firm Hagens Berman has filed a class-action lawsuit against General Motors on the behalf of 2015-2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 owners over the well-known cooling issues which can force the supercharged supercar into Limp Mode – hindering the track abilities while possibly creating a safety hazard on the road or the track.

Aussie Mag: C8 Corvette Coming in 2019 with Right-Drive, Mid-Engine, Hybrid Power

We haven’t gotten any official information on the next generation Chevrolet Corvette, but according to the Australian magazine Wheels, the C8 Corvette is coming to the Holden lineup in 2019 and when it arrives, it will have right-hand drive, a mid-engine layout and hybrid power.
