Honda growth slows, lagging industry

American Honda Motor Co. sold 1,230,480 new vehicles in the United States in 2010. That was 79,696 more than the company placed in 2009, a 6.9 percent increase. Not a bad performance – until you consider that U.S. auto sales as a whole grew by 11.1 percent in the same period. Thus Honda lagged the market, resulting in a loss of all-important market share.

Classic Car Fans Invited To Vote on Smithsonian Race To The Museum

The Smithsonian Institution, or as some lovingly call it “America’s Attic,” has put out the call to classic car fans to vote on an exhibit called ‘Race to the Museum.” The winning cars will be out on display Jan. 22 to Feb. 21 at the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) through its EERE website provides a variety of resources and information for members of the media. Orders Being Accepted for Mercedes C Class First in Europe

The new Mercedes C Class gets introduced on Jan. 9, the night before press days at the Detroit Auto Show, and the next day orders will start being accepted in Europe for a spring delivery. It becomes available in the U.S. this summer but no ordering date has been announced in spite of the U.S. market’s impact on C Class sales.
