Lexus to release 175 IS C350 F Sport Special Editions in 2011

When it comes to open air driving, the buyer with deep pockets has a wide array of models to choose from. Nevertheless few of them deliver the power, performance and sheer pulchritude of the IS C350 F Sport Special Edition, available this month. The 175 to be built make only about five for every U.S. city with a population over 500,000.

The new DeTomaso SLC Concept is a far cry from the Pantera

The official return of the DeTomaso brand is set for next month’s Geneva Motor Show but the reincarnated automaker has provided the world with a glimpse of their first new vehicle in decades and the modern DeTomaso Concept is nothing like the Pantera sports car that most (American) enthusiasts connect with the brand name.

ACEEE: Chevy Volt is one of the worst "green cars" in America

The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) has issued their 8th annual “Greenest” cars list and amazingly, the rapidly-selling 2011 Chevrolet Volt is at the bottom of their list but based on their own explanation of how they arrive at their results makes the list seems incredibly skewed and disappointingly uneducated.

Now you have seen it all: an Electric BMW

BMW makes Mini Coopers, so technically it’s not the first electric “BMW.” Nevertheless, just take a look at the other electric cars on the market. Chevy’s Volt, Nissan’s Leaf, the coming electric Focus, the planned Volvo entry - they are all small cars! Though this is no mid-size sedan, it is based on the BMW 1-series coupe and carries a truckload of technological advances we would’ve thought still a few furlongs down the road to the future.
