Spotted in Europe recently was a camouflaged Nissan Leaf suspected to be the 2018 version of the world’s bestselling electric car. We have heard that a redesign was coming and welcomed by many that thought the first-generation Nissan Leaf design was ugly to start with. To me (prior Nissan Leaf driver for 3 years) the styling was extremely functional and space friendly for my daily driving needs.

Aussies Can Get a Right Drive Camaro ZL1 for $146k

The Chevrolet Camaro is not built in the right hand drive configuration which is required for legal use in Australia, but those hardcore (and financially wealthy) Chevrolet fans “down under” who want to drive the most powerful GM muscle car ever – a local company will handle the importing and all of the work to switch the supercharged beast to right-drive for around $146k AUS.

Electric Cars Coming To 2017 NY Auto Show and Their Range Issues

Last year I had the opportunity to attend the NY Auto Show at the Javitz Center in NYC and it was to work at the Sierra Club booth right in front of the registration area to test drive an Electric Car. This was a surreal event as you can easily drive the BMW I3, Nissan Leaf, and Soul EV around the track on the Lower Level of the Center even indoors because there is never any pollution from the EV itself. Try doing that with the internal combustion engine, known as an ICE engine.

Actually Mercedes-Benz E-Class' Shifter Is Awsome

Recently, Consumer Reports released a report that detailed how confusing shifters have gotten on cars with automatic transmissions. It called out more than a dozen manufacturers for using shift levers it claims are difficult to use, even going to far as to stop recommending the Chrysler 300, the Lexus CT200h, and both the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and GLE. But while the report makes several good points, I can’t agree with it entirely. Because Mercedes’ column shifter is actually awesome.

Chevy Bolt vs Chevy Volt - Is Chevy Bolt Going to Cannibalize on Chevy Volt Sales?

Is the Chevy Bolt going to cannibalize on Chevy Volt sales? It seems like GM is actually competing with itself when you look at the deliverables of these two vehicles in my opinion. At the moment, we have 40 to 50 miles of electric range with the 2017 Chevy Volt and 240 miles of EV Range in the Chevy Bolt.

High Horse Performance sets another Dodge Hellcat 1/4-mile Record

This past weekend at Cecil County Dragway in Maryland, the High Horse Performance team brought their familiar white Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat out for the first time of the season and the results were very good – with Josh Schwartz and the Top Cat Challenger setting the new record for the world’s quickest Hellcat car.

Shelby GT350 Mustang Owners Suing Ford for Overheating Issues on the Track

The law firm Hagens Berman announced yesterday that in cooperation with Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen, they will be representing a group of 2016 Shelby GT350 Mustang owners who have filed a class action suit against Ford Motor Company due to the fact that their muscle cars are prone to overheating transmissions and differentials – forcing the car into limp mode and putting the drivers at risk.
