Ford and Ferrari settle F150 trademark lawsuit

Ford Motor Company has settled a lawsuit with Ferrari over the naming issues of the race car originally known as the Ferrari F150, with the Italian supercar maker changing the official name of the car to the Ferrari 150 Italia.

Lost fingers, jobs not uncommon at Chinese plant making Ford parts

Making 80 cents an hour for a 14-hour day and having to work with safety systems off leaves some Chinese workers maimed by the machines they operate. Compensation for three lost fingers - $7,430. Those with injuries too severe are summarily let go.

BMW teases next M5 in new video

AAA announces their Top New Technology Picks for autos

The Orlando headquarters of AAA today released its biennial list of top picks for new vehicle technology. Analysis by automotive experts at the nation's largest motor club identified a variety of technologies that improve safety, increase performance and reduce the environmental impact of some new models.

Subaru's Boxer engines to get BorgWarner enhancement

The leader in Variable Cam Timing (VCT) works with Subaru to enhance performance of the 2.5 and 2.0-liter engines, increasing fuel efficiency from 4 to 10 percent. BorgWarner adds improvements in the Cam Torque Actuated (CTA) aspects of the system and also qualify the vehicles for Super Ultra Low Emissions Level (SULEV) designation.

Jeep to offer compact B-Segment SUV

According to comments made by Jeep CEO Mike Manley, the Trail Rated American automaker is working on a new sub-compact “B-segment” sport utility vehicle based heavily on modified, existing architecture from the Fiat brand that we can expect to see hit the market for the 2013 model year.

Ford releases new Fiesta S1600 in the UK

Chrysler recalls 248,000 vehicles for ignition failure risks

The Chrysler Group and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that almost a quarter million 2010 model year vehicles from Dodge and Chrysler are being recalled to address an issue with the ignition cylinder that can cause the engine to stall – vastly increasing the risks of a crash.

Ford recalls 2011 Edge, F-Series, Lincoln MKX for wiring fire risks

Ford Motor Company has announced a voluntary recall of certain 2011 model year vehicles, including the F-Series pickups, the Edge crossover and the Lincoln MKX for a possible body control module condition that could cause a short and, in the most extreme conditions, a risk of fire exists.
