Kia Sorento Plug-In Hybrid Gets Impressive EV Mode Efficiency

Like any good fuel efficiency data nerd, I keep my own record of my vehicles’ energy use, be that from electricity or gasoline. I own both a 2022 Kia Sorento AWD Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) and a RWD 2018 Tesla Model 3 Long Range and I have approximately 800 miles worth of mixed use data regarding the efficiency of my Kia Sorento PHEV. In short, and despite the name, it is still an autonomous level 2 "ADAS"; that is, the driver must be paying full attention at all times.

New rumors have emerged in recent days from different sources that point out at the new model, which would apparently be called "Model Q"; again, these are speculations and nothing has actually been confirmed by Tesla, but the truth is that everybody likes the idea.

Australian homes and businesses installed a record amount of rooftop solar in 2021, narrowly beating the projected record 3GW of new capacity added in a year, despite a second wave of Covid 19 cases and strong constraints in the global solar market. At the same time, Tesla storage shows very good numbers.
