YouTube Video: Bugatti Veyron Hits 220 MPH On Autobahn

TorqueNews has located an interesting video of a man taking a Bugatti Veyron up to 220 miles per hour on the German autobahn. Click on the link to see the video.

Sometimes it’s hard not to sit back and wonder what is wrong with the world today. This is certainly a large question to ponder, so one attempts to narrow it down to a single country, which in this case is the United States of America. What is the problem with today’s America? Well, maybe the fact that our highways will not allow for speeds above the magical 200 miles per hour mark without tragic and painful results.

The Germans, however, don’t have this problem in their country, for they possess the world’s greatest gift to the automotive lover, the Autobahn. There have been many people in many different vehicles that have gone down its smooth surfaces, but this person decided to best them all in his Bugatti Veyron.

Talk about the ultimate autobahn machine, as the Veyron boasts over 1,000 horsepower from its W16. The car hardly breaks a sweat as the speedometer ticks past 210 miles per hour. If there is one road to do it on, it would be the Autobahn, although we wouldn’t advise holding a camera in the process.

In recent years, the autobahn has become known for trucks and slow motorists pulling out into the fast lane, something that can damage any speed run. To solve this, the man in the Bugatti attached a police light to the car, making motorists move out of the way. While the speed might be legal, the police lights are not. While it might be amusing in front of the computer, don’t attempt to imitate the video.

These speeds are best kept on the track or in the hands of a professional driver, which this person clearly isn’t.
