The First Aston Martin One-77 Has Been Delivered

After years of hype, the first Aston Martin One-77 has been delivered to an actual customer.

Customers have been forced to wait for some time, but it seems that wait is now over, as the new Aston Martin One-77 has been delivered to its first customer. Congratulations to whoever that lucky person might be and on a related note, would you be willing to share?

Aston Martin has remained relatively quiet about the whole thing, which seems odd considering they sent out a press release when the first Rapide was delivered and this vehicle is far more interesting than that sedan.

The One-77 was seen in front of the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo – figures – without manufacturer’s license plates. Usually, this sort of thing means the vehicle is owned by a normal person, but at this time that has not been confirmed. The vehicle itself is black and looks fantastic in the flesh. As hard as it is to have the best car in a place like Monte Carlo, Aston Martin might have done it.

The One-77 features a 7.3-liter V12 with 750 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. The official performance specifications have not yet been released, but the One-77 should hit 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 220 miles per hour. The One-77 will feature a full carbon fiber monocoque chassis with a handcrafted aluminum body. The car will also use a strengthened version of the DB9's 6-speed automated manual transmission. According to the British magazine Top Gear, the car's price will be £1,200,000. The American magazine, Robb Report, believes the car to be around $1.7 million.

Whoever this person is that has received the first new Aston Martin One-77, they must have one amazing job.
