Your Perception of Toyota Tacoma Will Change After Seeing How This Truck Looks With OPT7 Wheel Lights
I met Justin Whitley at Toyota Tacoma Enthusiasts public group on Facebook, where he shared his truck's newly installed OPT7 LED lights. I asked him how he did it. Here is Justin in his own words.
Hello, my name is Justin Whitley. I am from Walterboro SC, 26 and the owner of a 2008 Toyota Tacoma SR5. Access cab, 4 cylinder, 4 wheel drive, and a 5 speed manual transmission. I have K&N cold air intake and throttle bottle spacer on it as well. This truck has a 2.5" leveling lift kit on the front with stock suspension in the rear. I also have 33 inch BFG All Terrain tires on a 17" EAGLE off road wheels.
How I Installed OPT7 Wheel Lights
Recently I got the OPT7 wheel well lights for Christmas from my fiance. I installed them myself. I ran all wiring through the frame bringing it under the driver seat and to the interior fuse box. It is controlled by a wireless remote or keychain attachment included with the light kit.. The light kit has 16 colors, pulses to the beat of music, strobes in each color individually or it can be set to repeat through every color. Slowly but surely my build is coming along! Stay tuned for more.
These OPT7 wheel well lights only cost me $59.99. While I did it myself, it only took me about two hours of install time. Here is how they look with red color on.
Here is the dark blue color option.
Do these colorful wheel lights serve a purpose? No. But they looks good on a truck.
