Mercedes-Benz isn’t sharing details but it is releasing 2012 Mercedes-Benz S350 BlueTEC 4MATIC pictures in advance of the North American International Auto Show press days in Detroit that begins Monday, Jan. 10. The Mercedes introduction takes place at 11:20 a.m. at Cobo Hall.

The new Mercedes C Class gets introduced on Jan. 9, the night before press days at the Detroit Auto Show, and the next day orders will start being accepted in Europe for a spring delivery. It becomes available in the U.S. this summer but no ordering date has been announced in spite of the U.S. market’s impact on C Class sales.

Driven by strong E class sales, Mercedes posted an 18 percent growth in annual sales in 2010 with 225,007 vehicles sold in the United States. It also reported its strongest sales month of the year in December with sales of 21,469 vehicles.

Two of the great beauties in motorized transport, Mercedes AMG and Ducatti, have come together to work closely in the future. Ducati, the maker of beautiful, fast Italian motorcycles, will join with AMG, the performance enhancement division of Mercedes, to develop common marketing activities. Members of AMG Private Lounge, in which more than 13,000 AMG customers worldwide are registered, will be among the first beneficiaries of joint events.
