Lexus LF-Gh hybrid concept debuts at New York Auto Show, may hint at next gen GS

Lexus has released a teaser photo and information about a concept vehicle, dubbed the Lexus LF-Gh, that will debut at the 2011 New York International Auto Show and perhaps hint at next generation Lexus GS.

The LF-Gh, which stands for Lexus Future Grand Touring Hybrid is itself a tease about future design trends for Lexus, how Lexus will "redefine the premium grand touring sedan." According to a statement by Lexus, "L-Finesse, the marque's design philosophy since 2001, has been refined and evolved to include a bolder, more distinct projection of what a luxury car could become in a modern world."

"The result is the LF-Gh concept," said Lexus. The design cues displayed on the concept "may migrate" to future Lexus vehicles. It has been speculated that the migration may be to the Lexus GS grand tourer. Specifically, Lexus said the "aggressive and bold 'spindle' front grille hints at new face of Lexus vehicles.

The Lexus GS is in its third generation which went on sale in the 2006 model year and is therefore due for a new generation. Previous concepts that have foreshadowed the next generation Lexus GS have done so about six months ahead of the introduction of the actual production model. Look for the Lexus LF-Gh to predict the styling of the next iteration of the Lexus GS.
