Exclusively in North America, the C70 Inscription will provide performance tuning to the Engine Control Module (ECM). Thanks to Polestar, a Swedish racing and performance company partnering with Volvo, this tuning optimizes engine output in a number of ways. More air and fuel are funneled into the combustion chambers and spark timing is advanced, achieving significant performance gains. The turbocharged inline 5-cylinder engine generates 250 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 273 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,000 rpm. Constant power is delivered to the front wheels via a 5-speed Geartronic automatic transmission.

The Inscription package also introduces new features for the C70, including 18-inch black Midir wheels, a black grille edged in chrome, Sovereign Hide upholstery, a leather-covered dashboard, and Inscription floor mats, hand brake lever and front headrests. It's available in just two colors: Ice White and Black Sapphire Metallic.

Other features of the package include active dual Xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights with chrome trim, rear spoiler and aluminum sport pedals
The base price with destination charges and the Inscription Package comes to a total of $45,225

The C70 Inscription is a limited-production vehicle with an annual volume of just 2,000 units. North America will see only 500 models of this exemplary automobile in 2012.
