Mercedes-Benz three-peats as Best Place to Work in New Jersey

For the third consecutive year, Mercedes-Benz has been named the Best Place to Work in New Jersey by an august coalition of groups, including the Employers Association of New Jersey, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and the State Chamber of Commerce.

Mercedes-Benz is the only automaker that made the list and took top honors for companies with over 250 employees.

The Best Places to Work in New Jersey program names 100 companies divided by size. Fifty-two are small to medium-sized companies employing from 15 to 249 workers. The other 48 are large companies with over 250 employees.

To qualify, companies had to have no less than 15 employees in state as a commercial, nonprofit or government concern with, most importantly, at least one facility in New Jersey.

Companies all over the state completed a two-stage process to be considered for the 100 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. The initial qualifier is an evaluation of each company’s in-house policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, constituting 25 percent of their score.

The second phase conducted an actual employee survey to collect empirical feedback. A full 75 percent of the company’s score is determined by this process. The totals thus arrived at revealed the top companies in the final ranking.

Best Companies Group, who also analyzed the data using their expertise to arrive at the final list, managed the overall registration and survey process.
