Mercedes-Benz's New Truck To Arrive In Late 2017

Mercedes-Benz said they were planning to launch a new pickup truck before 2020. They're staying true to that promise.

Speaking with British publication Auto Express, Mercedes vans CEO Volker Mornhinweg said they company is planning to launch the truck towards the end of 2017 to compete against the likes of the Volkswagen Amarok. Before the launch of the production model, Mercedes is planning to show off a concept version at the Paris Motor Show according to sources.

Any other bits of information?

There are a couple other pieces of new information. Auto Express says there is a possibility of a hybrid powertrain down the road. Also, United Kingdom buyers will have to wait until 2018 before buying one. Aside from this, the remainder of the story confirms some of the details we talked about in our last report in January.
